Integration & Testing Engineer

Location: Glasgow

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Land and Air Systems (LAS) Optronics business unit as an Integration and Test Engineer.  We are looking for an Integration and Test Engineer to join the team in Glasgow to provide test methodology, design and validation of test equipment and to complete documentation to defined standards and methods, supporting timely delivery of customer requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in the design and verification of test code to join us at a time where we have an expanding portfolio of diverse projects, offering fantastic learning and development opportunities.

Key duties:

  • Work with Design team to ensure smooth integration of new products to Manufacturing
  • Develop and support cost effective, robust test solutions
  • Ensure the smooth transfer of new products into production
  • Define and improve processes
  • Resolve technical problems
  • Monitor and improve product costs
  • Generate and implement Continuous Improvement Plans
  • Identifying test and build improvements within company products

Skills and experience required:

Here are some of the key skills, experience and attributes we are looking for in our next Integration and Testing Engineer:

  • A strong background in the design and verification of test code written in Lab View is essential
  • Some experience in Electronic Engineering involving design and manufacture processes
  • Experience of constructing test sequences using Test Stand
  • Knowledge of Improvement Techniques

This role will require SC Clearance. If not currently held it is expected that the post holder will undergo SC Clearance, please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.

In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years. Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance which can require further evidence to be provided.
