JOB DESCRIPTION
The role shall encompass the following responsibilities.
Trade Compliance:
Trade compliance comprises of Export Control and compliances with embargoes and economic sanctions. The Export Control Officer verifies the export control requirements, initiate and follow the licence application process and ensure that the licence requirements are implemented in relation to the customer solution.
o    The Export Control Officer is overall responsible to manage the compliances with export control laws to improve group wide compliance with export control laws and regulations in order to protect and enhance the group’s reputation as a responsible and reliable business partner.
o    The Trade Compliance Officer should verify the export control requirements, initiate and follow the licence application process and ensure that the licence requirements are implemented in relation to the customer solution.
o    Upon request, s/he must decide if an export licence is required or not and begin the process to obtain it, then manage the licence application process and finally ensure that the licence requirements are implemented and that the product is shipped in compliance with the licence terms.

Experience:

Candidate should have 8yrs-15yrs of relevant experience in Trade Compliance

o    Has good knowledge of SCOMET regulations, defence equipment export, Export Classifications and Defence Procurement Procedures of Ministry of Defence. Understanding of Multilateral Export Control Regimes; Wassenaar Arrangement, MTCR Australia Group etc.
o    Coordinate with the internal departments and the suppliers and ensure that all the conditions of authorizations are followed, related with invoicing, shipping, keeping of records etc. Secure and track controlled outsourced items, so as to ensure compliance with the applicable regulations.
