About Our Site

Our Melbourne CBD site is home to over 500 employees working across our Air Traffic Management, Vehicles & Tactical Systems and E-Security businesses. Our Opportunity

Based in our Melbourne city office, this full permanent system integrator role is to perform the integration of systems and/or sub-systems for the Air Traffic Management solution, along with the provision of guidance/assistance to other technical teams in regard to integration, technical and configuration matters

Responsibilities

  • Participation in the integration and testing of systems and / or sub-systems, in accordance with the schedule set by the relevant leader / manager.
  • Internal and External Interfaces testing to ensure that the interconnected subsystems forming a Systems will constitute an end-to-end Solution allowing the subsequent AV&V activities
  • providing technical support and the setup of environments to facilitate the integration, testing and acceptance activities required by the program.
  • identifying risks, and proposing effective solutions.
  • providing system and networking expertise useful in the design of systems and sub-systems.
  • assist with the design, implementation and testing of tools for improving the quality of various processes.
  • system configuration and data management and system administration.

About You

You hold the following skills and attributes:

  • Engineering or Computer Science Degree or equivalent.
  • System Integration experience
  • UNIX/Linux Operating Systems, X programming experience
  • Middleware applications experience
  • Protocol Communication (TCP/IP, Multicast, RS232 etc..)experience
  • Programming languages (C, ADA, Java, C++, shell scripts) experience

Special Requirements

The position is dependent on the candidate eligibility to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.

The suitable candidate needs to be ITARS cleared; therefore Thales needs to know if you hold any passport other than Australian, or have dual citizenship. 

You will also need to successfully clear a pre-employment medical and police check.

Occasional interstate and international travel will be required.
