We are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to join the Thales TTSI team in New York, NY.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to prepare and progress the open contractual and commercial cases. This includes issues with the customers as well as issues with the contractors. This role also includes the contractual questions in coordination with Thales legal team as well as the financial calculation coordination and/or review in coordination with the technical and financial entities.

For each contractual or commercial case:

  • Gather and review the existing correspondence, project and financial information and contractual requirements
  • Based on the above effort, prepare and propose contractual and/or commercial approaches to the GPM and Thales Legal team
  • Preparecorrespondence and/or the documentation to execute the selected approach
  • As required, participate to work sessions/negotiations with the customer and/or the contractor.

For each RFI:

  • Review bid package and proposed terms & conditions
  • Identify potential commercial/legal risks
  • Propose revised terms to mitigate risks
  • Up to 25% Domestic and International.Regular travel to Thales Pittsburgh, PA office will be required.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • BS. in business administration or J.D. in law.
  • 5-10  years experience providing contracts, RFI review, bid preparation and Commercial support to the General Project Managers, Bid Managers and Legal team.
  • Experience working on large and complex contracts, including claim preparation and negotiation.
  • Capacity to address the contractual questions as well as the commercial questions.
  • Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of contract issues.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
