An opportunity has arisen to join our collaborative HR team as a HR Business Partner supporting the Maritime business unit.  Reporting to the HR Director, Maritime, in this role you will support the effective and timely delivery of the Human Resources (HR) strategy in order to drive the future growth and profitability of Thales in Australia.

Your responsibilities

Working in our Garden Island site and with occasional national travel, this role will entail the following:

  • Ensuring seamless delivery of cyclical activities such as performance, annual and talent reviews
  • Day-to-day operational support including site specific advice and matters
  • Workforce planning and organisation design support, succession planning and recruitment advice
  • Collaborating with Thales centres of excellence
  • Ad hoc policy/HR tasks
  • Various HR projects

About you

The successful candidate will be an experienced HR business partner with generalist experience that has included cyclical activities, work force planning, change management and day-to-day HR activities. Due to the nature of the business, previous experience with enterprise bargaining agreements within an industrial setting is required.

In addition you will be an excellent stakeholder manager who is adept at working with leaders across the business and are a true advocate of company values and modelling a leadership model.
