Core mission

Thales provides high-value, secure services through business critical solutions for its customers. This role performs second-line customer contact through technical support, and incident, problem and change management on hosted and managed solutions. Being part of a global team delivering 24x7 support, this role incorporates:

  • Continuous service reliability and performances improvement
  • High-quality design and change implementation
  • Disaster recovery solution management to guaranty business continuity
  • Service industrialization improvement by maintaining and enhancing internal tools.


  • You provide the second-line technical support to customer services on hosted and managed services
  • Manage service requests, incidents and problem through ticketing system
  • Assisting Service Delivery Manager in building & maintaining the best operational strategy (monitoring, reporting, security, high-availability, performance, etc.)
  • Maintain and improve platform monitoring system
  • Continuously improve the services reliability, performances and security
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Design and implement changes, deploy patches and fixes delivered by R&D, and adapt solution parameters to make architecture evolutions in accordance with the change management processes
  •             Write Root Cause Analysis report when there is an incident. Define preventive, corrective and improvement actions.
  • Write scripts for system health check and reports. Maintain and enhance internal tools to improve service industrialization, implement automation mechanisms.
  • Adhere to all applicable security and compliance rules. Participate in security audits. Raise alert when there is security non-compliance
  • Participate in the platform handover from setup to production.    
  • Might be to required work non-standard and/or extended work hours, on shift, or 24x7 on-duty support as per business needs if and when required.

EDUCATION and professional experience level

  • Degree in Computer Engineering or related discipline from a well-recognized university
  • 4 to 8 years of related experiences
  • Certifications in ITIL and Cloud technologies are good to have


Technical competencies

  • Linux, WebLogic, SQL knowledge & experience – Mandatory
  • Very good scripting skills in Unix/Shell – Mandatory
  • Must have experience in using Private and Public cloud technologies (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Understanding of GSM architecture, SIM cards, and/or background in telecommunication is a very positive asset
  • Scripting / programming in java, Perl, python etc. are good to have
  • Monitoring tools setup & configuration (Nagios, op5, Prometheus, ELK)
  • Experience in databases – RDBMS (Oracle) and NoSQL (Cassandra)
  • Must be aware of the working & usage of virtual machines, high-availability architecture and tools, networking, firewalls, DNS, load balancers, etc.
  • Web Application Firewalls & Certificate management
  • Experience in using various formats (XML, CSV, SOAP, JSON, etc.) and protocols (FTP, SMPP, HTTP, etc.)
  • ITIL Service Management processes and tools
